Upload PDFs

Upload PDFs to your library with drag-and-drop. Thumbnails generate automatically.

Add PDFs to your library

  1. From your admin, go to Apps > PDF Connect
  2. Click Upload New PDF from the Quick Actions card, or
  3. go to PDF Connect > PDFs and click Upload New PDF in the top right
  4. Drag your PDF files into the upload area (or click to browse)
  5. Wait for thumbnails to generate

Your PDFs appear in your library after upload completes.

Upload multiple PDFs at once

You can upload multiple PDFs simultaneously:

  1. Select multiple files from your computer
  2. Drag them all into the upload area at once
  3. Watch the progress bar for each file
  4. Wait for all uploads to complete

Each PDF gets its own thumbnail automatically.

What happens after upload

After your PDF uploads:

  • A thumbnail generates from the first page
  • The PDF appears in your library
  • Status is set to Active
  • You can link it to any resource type

Supported file types

PDF files only - The app only accepts files with the .pdf extension

Other formats not supported - Word docs, images, and other file types won't work

File size recommendations

Under 5MB - Uploads and loads fastest for customers

5MB to 10MB - Works well, slightly longer upload time

Over 10MB - May take longer to upload and display

Consider compressing large PDFs before uploading for better performance.

Tips for better organization

Use descriptive names - "winter-catalog-2024.pdf" not "document1.pdf"

Name consistently - Use a naming pattern like "product-[name]-manual.pdf"

Add version numbers - "user-guide-v2.pdf" if you update files regularly

Keep originals - PDF Connect doesn't replace your source files

Upload limits by plan

Your plan determines how many total PDFs you can store:

  • Free - 3 PDFs
  • Basic - 10 PDFs
  • Standard - 30 PDFs
  • Unlimited - No limit
